How to set up an active learning classroom

Creating a vision will help you understand how to setup your learning space and why you are creating the space.

Think about what materials will your students need to be successful. Every subject area should be considered. Make sure you have materials that can be used in a small group or indiviually. Ex. pencils, dry erase markers, white boards, white board wall, sticky notes, books,and paper etc.
Layout
Looking at your classroom while empty will help you better understand the classroom layout. Be mindful of areas meant to be quiet spaces. Know where your outlets are in the room for technology. Create spaces for small groups.

Remember you want Innovative technology tools that will open excitement and new possibilities for teaching and learning. Create spaces that allows students to use technology in a small group or individually.
